The Quilt Con Block Challenge

If you love modern quilt blocks, this Challenge is for you!

Don’t these colors sing? They are the colors used in Quilt Con’s logo. (Quilt Con is the annual quilt show sponsored by the Modern Quilt Guild – but you knew that.)

So this is the challenge: make a 12 1/2″ inch tall by any width block (i.e. 12 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ or 12 1/2″ by 24″ – it is your choice) using the Quilt Con logo colors: tangerine, gold, citrine, lime, aqua, turquoise, white, and gray. You cannot add any other colors. You may submit up to three blocks. The contest closes on August 15th, 2012.

The challenge will be moderated by Elizabeth Hartman of ohfransson.com. After August 15, Elizabeth will select 20 or more of her favorite blocks and will use them to make a quilt that will be displayed at QuiltCon and awarded, by raffle, to a lucky winner. Raffle tickets will only be sold at QuiltCon, and ticket sales will benefit The Modern Quilt Guild.

Each submission must be accompanied by an entry form that can be found here Challenge Entry Form.

I am looking forward to seeing some amazing blocks in this challenge.

  1. Yes! I love these colors. I am at my mom’s house taking care of her after surgery, but as soon as I get home I am heading straight to the sewing room? 🙂
