I am happy to report that the three fabrics I wrote about in my last post have arrived! And, yes, they are just as cute as they look in the photo.
This is my first experience with digitally printed fabric. I have washed the fabric in cold water. I am happy to say that there was very, very limited loss of color after the wash. I was also happy to see that the quality of the cotton the designs are printed on is of quilt shop quality and there was minimal shrinkage.
The fabric was, indeed, designed by Laurie Wisbrun of Scarlet Fig (Etsy). She has some wonderful new fabric that has just been released that celebrates the Olympics in England this summer. (You might also know her as the designer of the “Tufted Tweets” line!) So please do visit her shop on Etsy and take a look at what this very talented designer has to offer!
Today I settled on a design for the block and I hope to get started on the quilt tomorrow.
Until next time,
